THE CLOCK BUILDING
Prague 1, Old Town
The Clock Building is one of Prague’s historic landmark buildings and dates back to 1401. It was built on the site of an original Romanesque object comprising an existing 12th-century landmark cellar. Over time, the building underwent several reconstructions, the last of which was in 1993, when it was modernized for a Czech bank’s private clients. The building is directly opposite the astronomical clock in Old Town Square, where thousands of people stand in front of the building daily.
